IDEAS FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR!!!!

• TECHNOLOGY USES FOR YOUR CLASSROOM FOR THIS SCHOOL YEAR!!!
  
• 1. Create a “homepage” under www.blogger.com or www.edublogs.org and introduce yourself to your students during the first week.
  
• 2. Have a place on your blog for each class or “Notes”, “Future Assignments”, “8th grade team”, “expectations”, “links”, etc.
  
• 3. Create a survey to get to know your learners the first week of school. www.Surveymonkey.com
  
• 4. Have this replace your traditional “handouts”.
  
• 5. Use part of blog for your science behavior contract “signatures”!
  
• 6. Have students “turn in” their homework digitally during the first week. Use this as their first week grade! (just think, they can’t lose this homework, the dog can’t eat it, and you don’t have to worry about late assigments.)
  
• 7. Introduce yourself (videotaping with your webcam), edit it through www.teachertube .com and load it to your blog or wiki for students and parents to meet you during the first week of school.
  
• 8. Have a tab under your wiki or blog for your Sub plans.
  
• 9. Set up a wiki for your first class project.
  
• 10. Have a tab for “Essential Learnings” for you grade, team, class, etc.
  
• 11. Smile cause you are now one of the TECH experts at your school. . . . . just don’t let it be known to your staff!!!!!
